Quick Update

Hello everyone I hope everybody is doing good these days.

Dan is finally back on 5 days a week at work. I love having him home but money is really tight. I can't seem to find a job anywhere. This economy is really starting to take its toll.

Xavier is his usual self, always up to no good. He is so smart thought. I swear everyday he says something new. It was so funny yesterday he said "my parents don't listen to a thing I say" and then he said "my parents don't do a thing". He's so funny. He went and spent the weekend with my sister, "Aunt Becca", at her apartment at Spring Arbor. It was hard on both of us but he had a lot of fun and I think she did too. They made homemade pizza, and played, and went shopping, and went to church. He's a lucky little boy. I've been having a real hard time with nap time and bed time. He wont stay in his bed and he thinks it's funny. I've basically given up on nap time but then he falls asleep on the floor or something. It's very stressful and I'm not sure what to do.

Brooklynn is doing great, she's about out of her colic. She such a happy baby now. She is officially sitting and as of Sunday she is saying "ma ma" were still working on da da. She moves her mouth the right way but nothing comes out. lol. She just adores Xavier so much, they're finally getting so they can play together and he just makes her laugh all the time.

I also wanted to update on Vanessa and the baby. We are reaching out to everybody to ask for prayers for baby Hannah. Vanessa's doctor called her last week to inform her that during the ultrasound the found that the baby has heart problems. It appears that she has the same condition Dan did. She also has a 2 vessel umbilical cord, which can cause problems. I don't know too much about the cord issues. Vanessa is being transferred to Bronson for the remainder of her pregnancy because they have a great neonatal and cardiology team there. She is also having testing done to see if she carries the gene for the heart problems or what. She goes next week for genetic counseling, her fetal echo (to check the baby's heart out more) and to talk to the cardiologist. So everyone could please say a prayer or two for them it would be appreciated.

Well, I think that should do it for now. I still need to work on getting pictures on here. I hope everyone is enjoying this blog and being able to keep up with what's going on in our lives. We miss you all and love you!

Welcome

I just wanted to give everyone a quick welcome to our blog. One of the things I said I wanted to do for the new year was to create and keep up a blog. I want all of our family and friends to be able to keep up with our busy lives and to keep up with what's going on with the kids.

So for my first post I just want to announce that I have 2 nieces on the way. My sister-in-law Vanessa is due June 4th (our anniversary) and she is having a little girl, Hannah Mackenzie. Then my sister-in-law Jennifer is due June 6th and she is also having a little girl, Emily Hazel. I'm so excited that our family is being blessed with these new babies.

The kids are doing really good. Xavier is being a normal 2 year old (almost 3) little boy. He wants to be very independant. He is active and mouth but we get by day to day. Brooklynn is 5 1/2 months old now and she is eating solids and rolling all over the floor. She's also almost mastered sitting up. She's growing so fast.

I think that will do it for this post. I hope everyone checks in often to keep up with us. I am going to try to update several times a week. We love and miss you all.
