long time no update

Sorry it has been so long since an update, I really need to keep up on it huh? LOL!

A lot sure has changed since my last update. We didn't end up getting approved to buy a house so we are living in a little apartment in Three Rivers. Hopefully we will become home owners sooner or later.

Brooklynn is now a year old. I can't believe it. It has gone by so fast and actually makes me a little sad that she is a year old. She's walking all over the place and has quite the personality. On one hand she is very lovey dovey, giving hugs and kisses, and on the other hand she has an unbelievable attitude. We are having her birthday party Saturday August 8th at 4:00 pm at Scidmore Park in Three Rivers.

I am in the process of trying to go back to school for photography. It is my passion. I love taking pictures and editing pictures. I'm also trying to get into some modeling.

We are also hoping to get Xavier into preschool this fall. He talks about going to school all the time so I think he will enjoy it. Brooklynn might go to a daycare program too.

Dan has been working a lot of overtime. I'm glad his company is doing good. I hate when he is gone but the paycheck helps.

I think that is a general update for us. I really will try to get on here and update more often.

And to end this update I want to announce that I have 3 new nieces and my sister just got engaged tonight!!!!

Congrats to you all!!!!

Exciting Times in The Graham House

Wow things sure are beginning to look up around here.

We have been actively house hunting for about a month now. We have decided to turn to trying to buy our first house. We are so excited. Today we are meeting with our realtor to look at some houses. I think we've got about 10 on our list. I'm not sure if we are going to look at them all today or not. One of the houses we really liked sold 2 days ago, we were pretty bummed. But I'm trying to stay positive about the whole situation, I just figure that it wasn't the house for us. I'm really hopefully we find something we like and that will fit our needs pretty easily. I'm excited.
Another exciting thing that is happening around here is potty training. We've tried numerous times to potty train Xavier with many different approaches. A couple days ago I decided we would try just putting him in underwear and putting the potty chair in the living room. SUCCESS!!! The first day he peed and pooped in the potty with only 2 accidents. I was elated. I knew he could do it. lol. Everyday since has been similar. Because we are still in training, when he goes to bed or when we leave the house he wears a diaper but I 'm so proud of his accomplishments thus far.
Brooklynn is almost 7 months old now. I can't believe how fast time is flying. It makes me sad. I know that before we know it she'll be walking and we'll be celebrating her 1st birthday. She reaches new milestones all the time now. She is learning to drink out of a sippy cup, and she is sitting and rolling like a pro. She is trying to scoot across the floor now too. A couple of weeks ago we moved her into the crib and Xavier back into his big boy bed. Wow my kids are growing up! lol!

Well I think that'll do it for this update. I'll let everyone know how the house hunt is coming along.

We love you all!!!

Also as a reminder Xavier's 3rd birthday party is Saturday March 7th at 4:00 at Pizza Hut in Three Rivers.

Quick Update

Hello everyone I hope everybody is doing good these days.

Dan is finally back on 5 days a week at work. I love having him home but money is really tight. I can't seem to find a job anywhere. This economy is really starting to take its toll.

Xavier is his usual self, always up to no good. He is so smart thought. I swear everyday he says something new. It was so funny yesterday he said "my parents don't listen to a thing I say" and then he said "my parents don't do a thing". He's so funny. He went and spent the weekend with my sister, "Aunt Becca", at her apartment at Spring Arbor. It was hard on both of us but he had a lot of fun and I think she did too. They made homemade pizza, and played, and went shopping, and went to church. He's a lucky little boy. I've been having a real hard time with nap time and bed time. He wont stay in his bed and he thinks it's funny. I've basically given up on nap time but then he falls asleep on the floor or something. It's very stressful and I'm not sure what to do.

Brooklynn is doing great, she's about out of her colic. She such a happy baby now. She is officially sitting and as of Sunday she is saying "ma ma" were still working on da da. She moves her mouth the right way but nothing comes out. lol. She just adores Xavier so much, they're finally getting so they can play together and he just makes her laugh all the time.

I also wanted to update on Vanessa and the baby. We are reaching out to everybody to ask for prayers for baby Hannah. Vanessa's doctor called her last week to inform her that during the ultrasound the found that the baby has heart problems. It appears that she has the same condition Dan did. She also has a 2 vessel umbilical cord, which can cause problems. I don't know too much about the cord issues. Vanessa is being transferred to Bronson for the remainder of her pregnancy because they have a great neonatal and cardiology team there. She is also having testing done to see if she carries the gene for the heart problems or what. She goes next week for genetic counseling, her fetal echo (to check the baby's heart out more) and to talk to the cardiologist. So everyone could please say a prayer or two for them it would be appreciated.

Well, I think that should do it for now. I still need to work on getting pictures on here. I hope everyone is enjoying this blog and being able to keep up with what's going on in our lives. We miss you all and love you!

Welcome

I just wanted to give everyone a quick welcome to our blog. One of the things I said I wanted to do for the new year was to create and keep up a blog. I want all of our family and friends to be able to keep up with our busy lives and to keep up with what's going on with the kids.

So for my first post I just want to announce that I have 2 nieces on the way. My sister-in-law Vanessa is due June 4th (our anniversary) and she is having a little girl, Hannah Mackenzie. Then my sister-in-law Jennifer is due June 6th and she is also having a little girl, Emily Hazel. I'm so excited that our family is being blessed with these new babies.

The kids are doing really good. Xavier is being a normal 2 year old (almost 3) little boy. He wants to be very independant. He is active and mouth but we get by day to day. Brooklynn is 5 1/2 months old now and she is eating solids and rolling all over the floor. She's also almost mastered sitting up. She's growing so fast.

I think that will do it for this post. I hope everyone checks in often to keep up with us. I am going to try to update several times a week. We love and miss you all.
